Marilena Mauro – Art Director

Marilena Mauro started her career in Promarco in 1979 and in 1981 founded Winners. Her main clients included Auricchio, Zuegg, Akai, Bang & Olufsen and MAA Assicurazioni.
After selling Winners to a major international agency, she joined Nadler, Larimer & Martinelli as a Senior Art Director in 1986. Here she created campaigns for Pavesi (all products – winner of Best Launch Poster Award for Pavesi Frollis), Twinings, Seat Auto, Allianz Assicurazioni, Sperlari, Plasmon, Schweppes and Acqua San Benedetto, which won several awards in major competitions in 1989. In 1990 she joined Marvel Italia as a Partner and Creative Director, where she has always been responsible for all clients. She won the Walt Disney International Award, Packaging Category, the Packaging Star first prize for St. Honore Melegatti, Best Poster Award for Edimedica and an award in low-budget film category for “Monopolino” (Italian version of Monopoly boardgame with Disney characters) by Editrice Giochi.
